It really isn’t a percentage thing. I’ve been tipped 5 bucks, I’ve been tipped 150 bucks. Seriously, let your level of satisfaction of the service determine the size of the tip! No worries on if it’s too much or too little. I’ve never once been like “Damn, that person sucks. They didn’t give me enough extra money!” With the only exception of being, if your total after tax comes to $64.20, don’t hand me $65 and tell me to keep the change as if that’s a real tip. Don’t get me wrong, the Jew in me will totally keep it, but it’s still pretty insulting haha. But yea, in all seriousness, if you’re happy with your piercing, just give what you think is fair, I would say no less than 5 bucks but could go up to however much you want. If it’s just a jewelry change or jewelry insertion, I’ve been given a dollar or two and that’s totally cool too. I know it’s a pretty wishy washy answer, but it’s a hard one to answer because it’s so dependent on the situation!
I know that piercers appreciate every tip they are given but could you give me some sort of percentage to work off of? I never know if I'm giving too much or too little.
